Nekonote comes to town! She gets to meet one of her idols, and in her POV we feel the excitement of joining a manga drawing team. Nashida faces challenges with her new series & as a solution… she has a romance arc? Lots going on in this episode.

This episode gives big Nashida feels, and the art/facial expressions she makes as if she is falling in love for the first time! Totally what we needed as it winds down to the conclusion.

S1 EP11: This is a hilarious episode, especially the reactions in the scene where Nashida-san and Toko-san are playing girlfriend in a date. The animation of funny and schock faces is hilarious. I enjoy this episode, this show so much.

This episode felt like a nearly perfect lead up to the finale. It reminded us that while the manga industry is crushing, having a supportive circle make the grind worthwhile.

This EP really made me realize how hard it is to be a mangaka. It's not enough if being good at drawing is all you have. You must have the talent to make a story and manuscript to make it work. I really like that they show how mangakas get inspiration for the stories they make.

UP: THE FAN IS LITERALLY THEM. Same glasses, same outfit, same nervous energy. It's like looking in a mirror. The assistants are losing it. DOWN: Fan asks about cancelled side character. Awkward silence. 😳

This episode dives into research and creative inspiration. It subtly reminds you that great stories come from lived experience. Quiet but thoughtful episode.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Episode 10's lighter, break-from-work energy, Episode 11 pivots back to the professional grind with renewed focus on how lived experiences shape creative output. This penultimate stretch of the season begins tightening the thematic threads around growth and collaboration that have been building since the early episodes. With only two episodes remaining, it sets the stage for a closing arc that should tie together the team's personal and professional journeys.
