Synopsis
Genius setter Kimichika Haijima moves back to Fukui from Tokyo after an incident within his school's volleyball team forces him out. There, he is reunited with his childhood friend, Yuni Kuroba, a member of the Monshiro Middle School Boys' Volleyball Team, who is unaware of his own talents. Haijima notices Kuroba's abilities and is determined to form a new volleyball team with Kuroba as the team's ace. At the prefectural tournament, Kuroba crumbles under the pressure, which causes the Monshiro team to fall apart after losing. The loss also creates a rift between Haijima and Kuroba, leading the former to quit the team. Now, as students at Seiin High School, Haijima and Kuroba find themselves on the same volleyball team once again. Having learned from his past mistakes, Haijima helps Kuroba overcome his performance anxiety to become the ace and carry the team to the prefectural championship. With support from team captain Shinichirou Oda and vice captain Misao Aoki, Seiin aim to win the prefecturals and become Fukui's representatives at the Spring Tournament. To do this, they will need to beat Fukuho Technical High School, the reigning champions of Fukui. Will Haijima's team defeat the odds, or are they doomed to repeat his history of losing?

That was a decent seasonal finale. Honestly, Subaru carried the show for me. He easily felt like the true main character most of the time because his character arc was just so good.
Pretty good episode! Definitely the best episode of the show so far. That setter dump at the beginning of the fifth set actually caught me completely by surprise lmao, that was so well done.
I feel like this could have been a really good anime with a much slower pace. By much slower, I mean taking at least three cours to cover what they crammed into this single season.
I really liked the regular slice of life moments we got with the Seiin team. I just wish the rest of the team had been a bit more developed, but I'll always take getting more development for Aoki and Oda.
This was actually a great episode. It had nice action, real character growth, and minimal drama.
The game's sound design is really bothering me. The audio cues are completely inconsistent, delayed, or outright missing at times. It's a really strange issue for a show like this to have.
The shift in tone and direction this episode is a welcome change, in my opinion. This is probably my favorite episode so far, and I already find Ochi and Subaru a lot more likable than most of the main cast.
This episode is a big improvement over the previous ones. It feels like the show is finally finding its rhythm.
This definitely isn't sports-focused, instead it's all about the characters and their interactions.

That was a really nice episode. The animation was incredibly fluid. Comparisons will be inevitable, but I love how the beginning set a totally different tone from standard sports series by prioritizing the emotional drama right away.
una pena que no hayan explotado el ultimo punto, le sacan ese drama y el episodio arranca con el partido finalizado. a pesar de esto es muy emotivo el final y me gustaria ver mas temporadas.

finalmente estamos en el partido decisivo, la trama se desarrolla de modo muy fluida y entretenida.
nos dan un flashback sobre la lesion de Subaru y su situacion actual. el Seiin se consolida como equipo y estan a punto de comenzar la ultima etapa de calificacion
el episodio se centra en el partido y eso lo hace muy divertido y emocionante, a la vez que los personajes reaccionan de maneras novedosas,
el ritmo del episodio va muy rapido, el partido pasa demasiado fugaz y los dilemas morales de los protegonistas por sus limitadisimas habilidades comunicacionales son el centro del capitulo.
nos muestran un equipo rival de la misma prefectura con el que el Seiin tendrá un partido de práctica
la manera de contar este episodio es algo rara y te deja la sensacion de que los personajes estan siendo ridiculos, pero creo que hay cosas que no se estan contando por algun motivo.
