This anime keeps changing its style, and this episode really surprised me. At first, I honestly thought I was watching the wrong show, but after checking again and continuing, I realized it was still 18if. From ancient witches to modern times and even a machine-like era, this episode feels interesting. Watch it and see.
Character designs are cartoonish and exaggerated, with food items having sentient, smiling faces. Visuals parody candy-coated mobile puzzle games, using hyper-saturated colors and flat 2D landscapes made of cakes and rivers of chocolate. Specific Moment: The brief visual flash of thousands of negative social media comment bubbles floating inside the witch's cavernous stomach, revealing that her endless hunger is actually a desperate craving for validation.
I have mixed feelings about this episode. I really enjoyed the first half, but the second half quite unexpected to me. Especially, the character transformation, caught me of guard. haha.
