Character designs take a grotesque turn as the bullies are transformed into faceless monsters. The visuals are deeply unsettling, using muted tones, static filters, and claustrophobic school hallways to evoke a psychological horror aesthetic. The soundtrack drops the electronic beats for eerie, distorted ambient noises. The reflection in the puddles of water on the floor, which shows the real-world state of the girls while their dream avatars are being tortured.
This episode is pretty scary, so if you’re not comfortable with bloody anime, it might not be for you. Still, I think it’s quite special because it explores what we can do inside dreams. The idea of consciously controlling a dream is used well, and it feels like the creators did their homework.
This episode was a bit emotional. A child shouldn't have to experience things like that at such a young age. People should practice better morals nowadays. And it's really frustrating not being able to sleep haha. Sleep is honestly one of the best things in the world.
