The plot throws the audience straight into the surreal "Sleeping Beauty Syndrome" phenomenon, where Haruto wakes up in the dream of a vengeful witch, Yuko. Character designs introduce Haruto's signature hoodie look and Katsumi Kanzaki’s anthropomorphic cat form, establishing a whimsical yet dark tone. The visuals are explosive, utilizing high-contrast reds and deep blacks to represent Yuko’s rage and trauma from the real world. Specific Moment: The transitional sequence where the ceiling of the room breaks apart into a literal kaleidoscope of butterflies, symbolizing the shift from reality to deep dream state.
The soundtrack is really impressive, especially how it starts with a slow emotional build before becoming more energetic. I also like the fast-pace storytelling, which keeps the anime engaging throughout.
This episode has a strong Alice in Wonderland vibe. At first, I felt confused because the story moved so fast, but I slowly got used to it. It turns out to be about entering dream worlds, and each dream seems to have its own mission to complete.
