EPISODE REVIEWS

This episode finally reveals the story of Professor Kanzaki’s sister. It also starts the plan to assassinate Eve and shows Haruto’s real body. At this point, the mysteries are beginning to connect. However, I feel the pacing is too rushed. The story is suddenly heading toward the ending before everything is fully built up, which feels a bit disappointing.

The plot takes a theatrical turn, transforming into a surreal courtroom drama where Haruto's past actions and failures are put on trial by the remnants of the previous witches. Character designs lean into dramatic, gothic undertones, with the judge and prosecutors wearing exaggerated ceremonial robes. Visuals use stark spotlighting against pitch-black backgrounds to mimic a live stage play. Specific Moment: The previous witches appearing as silent, glowing silhouettes in the jury box, judging Haruto's worthiness.

I thought this was the finale, considering the topic for this episode is 'The Witch Wars'. But it turns out there's still one more episode left. It's nice to see more action from the trio, but I'm even more excited to see how the director wraps up the story.
