OMG, it was already intense right from the beginning of the episode, it was amazing! The plot was nice with the way they set the suspense in the mysterious action genre anime. The flow of the pace was also good, it was not too rushed for the first episode. I also like the way they introduced a new important character, it created more curiousity!
Not a bad start at all. The military setting immediately caught my attention, and there's clearly a much bigger mystery surrounding Teito than what we're being shown. Mikage is easily one of the more likable characters so far, though Teito himself hasn't completely won me over yet. He has that stubborn "I'll handle everything myself" personality that usually gets on my nerves 😅 Still, the darker atmosphere and mystery are interesting enough to keep me watching.
That was a really nice opening episode, and I genuinely enjoyed the visuals and costumes. They added a lot to the overall feel of the episode and made it visually engaging.
