The size of the polycule has grown. I will admit the jokes are still landing, which is keeping me going. It helps that I'm watching this week to week. If I was binging it, I don't think I'd find it as enjoyable.

Episode Context

Episode 3 turns from space combat to character work, centring on Elma in the aftermath of the previous mission. Aboard Hiro's ship, light domestic comedy and growing romantic tension between Hiro and Mimi keep the crew scenes warm, while a financial and personal crisis on the station gives Elma's storyline real urgency. Pacing shifts between guild business, station-side investigation, quiet conversations that redraw the group's relationships, and Serena's parallel institutional thread, which signals that Elma's trouble runs deeper than a routine accident claim. The result is a transition episode built on trust, recruitment, mentorship, and the practical cost of life as a mercenary, mixing comedy, drama, and romance against a space-opera backdrop while keeping the focus on character over spectacle.
