When I said they looked like they were just playing around, I really meant it. Feitan was such a badass here. T^T This episode was amazing while also subtly showing the deep bond between the Phantom Troupe members. It was really nice to see that side of them.

Honestly, this change of perspective was amazing. Focusing on some of the Phantom Troupe members added more depth to their characters after not getting much spotlight during the Yorknew City arc. Also, Feitan was really surprising here. What the heck? 😭

I really liked this episode. Feitan finally got some much-needed exposure. I always thought he was strong back in Yorknew, but he never really had a chance to show it there, lol. This episode gave him the spotlight, and he definitely delivered.

Episode Context

The Phantom Troupe unleashes their full combat potential, and the results are exactly as brutal as you'd hope. This episode is a showcase fight card featuring some of the series' most dangerous characters operating on home turf in Meteor City, tearing through Chimera Ants with ruthless precision. Feitan commands the spotlight here, with Shizuku and Phinks reinforcing just how terrifyingly capable this group remains. The tone is dark, violent, and unrelenting, a reminder that the Troupe exists in a moral gray zone where overwhelming force is the only language spoken. Pacing runs hot and aggressive, barely letting up between clashes. If you've been waiting for the Troupe to go all out since Yorknew, this episode delivers. Madhouse's animation rises to match the intensity, making every blow land with weight.
