I really liked how this episode gave an uneasy atmosphere throughout. The pacing was a little slow, but the unsettling emotions were on point, making the slow pace more effective and impactful.

Honestly, the first half of the episode was intense as we finally reached one of the major plot points of this arc. I didn’t expect it to become emotional in the second half, though. My children 🥹

Dang, this was really terrifying. I really loved how this was delivered, giving tense and chilling vibes as the Chimera Ants took the spotlight. Everything now feels uneasy, but I can’t lie—this is getting more intriguing.

Episode Context

Episode 91 is a seismic turning point in Hunter x Hunter. The atmosphere shifts to something far more oppressive and primal as a new apex predator enters the stage, radiating an overwhelming presence that redefines what power means in this world. The episode thrives on contrast, raw, terrifying strength set against fragility and loyalty tested under impossible pressure. Character dynamics within the Chimera Ant hierarchy fracture and realign in real time, while Gon and Killua process the emotional weight of everything they've endured. Madhouse delivers this tonal escalation with sharp pacing and an almost suffocating sense of dread. If earlier Chimera Ant episodes were a slow burn, this is where the fire catches. Expect tension that doesn't let up, character moments that cut deep, and a clear signal that the stakes have permanently escalated.
