New character shows up who might help Killua and Gon. There’s a fight, but it’s too fast and unsatisfying despite Killua nearly getting humbled. We need real opponents to see their skills. Episode mainly introduces the Arena and explains how it works.

A good story building episode that introduces Nen while keeping it engaging. It really leans into shonen style with one-hit wins in every fight, making it feel fast, impactful, and easy to follow.

This was a fun and intriguing episode. New characters, possible new abilities, and a wider world—seeing everything from Gon and Killua’s perspective makes it even better.

Episode Context

A fresh start that crackles with competitive energy. Gon and Killua arrive at Heavens Arena, a towering battleground where fighters climb floors through sheer combat prowess, and the episode wastes no time establishing the scale of this new challenge. The tone shifts from the lingering weight of previous arcs into something lighter and more playful, two kids walking into a fighting colosseum with grins on their faces. But underneath the fun, there's purpose. The introduction of Zushi and his master Wing hints at a deeper martial arts framework waiting to be unpacked. Expect quick, satisfying fights mixed with genuine curiosity as the duo discovers just how much they still have to learn. The pacing is brisk, the animation sharp, and the groundwork being laid here is more significant than it initially appears.
