Cute sibling moments, but also a tension-filled episode. I loved the way everything was laid out here. I got to appreciate Killua's character even more, and Alluka is such an interesting character. This episode really made me invested in both of them.

Dialogue-driven episode that you really have to keep up with and pay attention to the details to appreciate even more. This was such a good episode. Killua's dynamic with Alluka felt so normal and sibling-like, which was such a contrast to the other Zoldyck siblings, lol.

I don't know if Killua's unhinged or if the Zoldyck family is, lol. Really loved this episode. Alluka's ability was so complex, which made it really thought-provoking. I loved how it genuinely left me with a lot to think about afterward.

Episode Context

Hunter x Hunter pulls back from the broader Election arc to zero in on the Zoldyck family, and the result is one of the series' most psychologically charged episodes. The spotlight falls squarely on Alluka and the disturbing nature of her abilities, forcing viewers to reckon with just how far the Zoldyck family's dysfunction runs. Killua's protective instincts clash directly with Illumi's cold, calculating manipulation, creating a tension that feels deeply personal rather than action-driven. Expect strategic mind games, shifting power dynamics, and an unsettling atmosphere where every conversation carries lethal weight. Themes of control, loyalty, and what family actually means when stripped of sentimentality dominate the narrative. This is a character study wrapped in suspense, pacing is deliberate, rewards are emotional, and the stakes feel quietly enormous.
