VERY intriguing episode and a very intriguing new character. This arc looks like it has two major plot points, which makes it even more interesting. I loved seeing Killua gain the spotlight here. This episode was such a good introduction to Alluka.

This episode leaned more into the backstory with Alluka's introduction. The story flow was smooth, and the new character was REALLY interesting. And SO cute! 🥹 Loved this episode, and I can't wait to see Killua and Alluka's interactions.

This anime really introduces powerful and weird characters like a gashapon machine. It's like, hmm, what's next? Lmao. Loved this episode, though. It's making things even more interesting and intriguing.

Episode Context

Hunter x Hunter shifts gears into a dual-track episode that balances political chess with raw familial stakes. On one side, the Hunter Association election arc heats up as Pariston maneuvers through the deadlocked vote with calculated precision, expect sharp dialogue and the kind of strategic tension that rewards attentive viewers. On the other, Killua's journey takes an emotionally charged turn as he confronts the weight of the Zoldyck family's legacy in pursuit of saving Gon. The pacing is deliberate and measured, prioritizing character depth over spectacle. Themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the cost of power run throughout, giving the episode a contemplative edge. This is a character-driven installment that rewards investment in these relationships, leaning into the quieter intensity Madhouse handles so well at this stage of the series.
