One Punch Man: The Speed of Sound (Sonic Tribute)
My favorite in the series was Speed-o'-Sound Sonic! He made me laugh (and cringe) so much that I immediately got to work on making his costume. My goal was to do cosplay photoshoots to recreate scenes from the anime, including his insane smile that caught me off guard and cracked me up so much!
His design is appropriately impractical — metal pieces that attach and move with a fitted bodysuit?! — but I'm proud that I found a way to make it work! The cosplay ended up so comfortable that I wore it out to several conventions. One was here in Manila, another in Malaysia, and for some reason I also thought it would be a good idea to wear him to Sweden during a snowy winter. I believe I survived out of sheer stubbornness, but it really felt worth it to be able to share my cosplay and laugh about One Punch Man with so many people from all over the world!
