Demon Slayer: Shinobu Kocho — Hidden Sorrow

Shinobu is a character who’s always smiling, but she hides so much inside... I wanted to show a more melancholic side of her, so I went with darker tones and moody lighting. I also wanted to include a reference to her sister, so I drew her holding a butterfly with the same colors as the hairpin Kanae used to wear! For the pose I took a photo of myself as a reference (this is something really good to do when you can't find references on the internet!). Well, I started this drawing back in January, but I paused for a while because I wasn’t feeling it... Then in April, I finally got the courage to finish it, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
