Episode Context

Xu Ying takes on a snake demon named Niu Yuanqi, and the confrontation carries the episode. The fight is framed as a capture rather than a slaughter: technique, nerve, and control against a creature that outmatches a straight brawl. Niu Yuanqi drives the danger, while Xu Ying's methods define the rhythm of the episode, moving from pursuit into a decisive clash. CG Year's animation handles the creature work and the close combat, and the pacing stays brisk and goal-directed. The tone is adventurous, rooted in the practical work of a snake catcher, with fantasy elements treated as part of a working world rather than pure spectacle. Action and adventure genres carry the episode, with the fantasy grounded in the hunt itself.
