The strongest part of the episode is the contrast between the two main characters. Chiaki is responsible and determined, while Zenki is like a wild animal that is difficult to control.

Episode Context

As episode 1 of 51, this is pure groundwork, establishing the core trio of Chiaki, Saki, and Zenki alongside the supernatural threats that will drive the entire series. The premiere builds toward the immediate next episode, 'Karuma the Demon and her Three Demon Disciples,' where the antagonist roster expands and the real stakes crystallize. Everything here serves as the launch point for an extended battle-driven narrative rooted in ancient mysticism.
