Episode Context

Sitting at roughly the one-third mark of the 26-episode season, Episode 9 functions as a critical bridge, capping the Ivy Festival's competitive arc that dominated previous episodes while cracking open the capital's hidden mythological layer. The grounded academy rivalries established since the tournament's start give way here to something far larger in scope. Everything that follows will build on the lore and encounters introduced in this transitional episode.
