To be honest, I'm not really a fan of figure skating, but I was so nervous watching to see if Yuri would land all his jumps; I felt like I was right there in the audience. It’s so adorable to see how much Victor cares about Yuri! 😭

This episode had me so nervous for Yuri 😭 It’s really nice seeing his growth, and his performance felt more confident this time. Viktor being supportive but also kinda strict makes it more interesting, and I love Minami’s song choice for his program!

Episode Context

Episodes one through four built the foundation, Yuuri's return to skating, Victor's arrival as coach, and the painstaking development of his programs. Episode five is the first real checkpoint, translating all that preparation into competitive results at a regional qualifier. It directly sets the runway for Yuuri's entry into the Grand Prix series, which will dominate the season's second half.
