Well, the story is over. To be honest, even though all the loose ends are tied up, I wish some situations had been given more depth. I feel like everything happened way too fast and without much emphasis; some things were only scratched on the surface when they could have had a much stronger emotional impact. If you're expecting an epic fight with a villain, this is definitely not the anime for you, so it might be better to watch something else.
What a disappointing ending. I already have low expectations for this, but this sets the bar really low. First off, almost every resolution happened off-screen with no explanation at all. I know they are trying to be different, but this just screams laziness for me. What about their animation budget? Their unique art style? Can they cobble up something with that at least? They wasted everything on a lore dump, and the villains gain no comeuppance; what is the message here? Nothing changed from the society that they said was oppressive in structure. No, don't watch, your time is better spent on another show.
