Sitting roughly 70% through the series, this episode falls deep into the conflict with the psychic adversaries threatening Yusuke's crew, directly following Kuwabara's kidnapping. It serves as the opening salvo of Yusuke's rescue mission, establishing Sniper as a tactical threat rather than just a brute-force obstacle. The confrontation carries directly into episode 80, 'Moving Target,' where the battle intensifies further.
