Seeing Kurama and Hiei deal with their pasts before the Demon World Tournament is peak character writing. The tension between the three kings is insane. Absolute 10/10 vibes!

Episode Context

With only eleven episodes remaining, the series is deep into its final saga, systematically revealing the histories and allegiances of its core cast within the Demon Realm's power structure. The previous episode explored Hiei's past and connections; this installment mirrors that approach by turning to Kurama and his ties to the demon leader Yomi. It directly sets up the escalating Three Kings power struggle that will define the show's endgame.
