With all the dirty tricks that Bandit Keith pulled in this episode, it was very satisfying to see him lose. It also made Jonouchi / Joey one of my favorites in the show. Overall, a great setup to the amazing duels coming up in this arc.

This is the conclusion to the two-part duel between Joey and Bandit Keith, following Part 1 where Keith's scheming nearly disqualified Joey before Mai stepped in with a crucial assist. The outcome of this match determines who advances in the Duelist Kingdom semifinals, directly setting up a Joey vs. Yugi showdown to decide who earns the right to challenge Pegasus in the finals. At episode 32 of 224, this marks a pivotal turning point in the early tournament arc and a key milestone in Joey's growth as a duelist.
