Yozakura Quartet Episode 7: Dogwood

This festival themed episode was a nice change of pace. I like that there are some comedic scenes here and there, it was actually a fun episode. Though the transition onto the kidnapping was actually really fast, it doesn't even take the time to build tension. The pacing on the first part is good but the second half was meh.

I'd say I needed this kind of episode where the characters were having more fun. Although they didn't progress the story that much, the first part of the episode was hilarious. You just can't leave a series without an alcohol episode haha.

The tone in this episode was light-hearted in the first half, since the atmosphere was festive. Felt the atmosphere with the vibrant visuals of the festival. The gathering of the characters was also a breather to the tension of that cliffhanger. I liked how the comedic scenes were placed perfectly, especially Kyousuke's, but the pacing was still tense.
