The episode is well-paced with quirky scenes with action mixed in it. For an OVA introduction to a character, it is well planned and interesting, putting more depth into the character.

That was refreshing from the usual, then again the plot twist at the end just made me excited.

This is my first time watching anything related to this anime, and my expectations were pretty low because of the original anime’s score. The style and animation are quite good so far, though there are a lot of characters to keep track of. This first episode feels more like a slice of life, except for the last part, which has some great action scenes.
