Ever watched a show or movie that somehow tugs at the heartstrings with a such a strong sense of longing, causing tears to fall, and yet you can't pinpoint why exactly? Is it the character development? Or maybe it's the incredible soundtrack, composed specifically for the movie by Radwimps? Perhaps it's the gorgeous visuals that Shinkai is known for. In any case, it's one of my favourite movies of all time.
