This was actually really nice to watch. It goes back to earlier moments and focuses more on Kousei’s rivals showing why they look up to him so much. It’s cool seeing their side of the story and how their rivalry with Kousei started.

It shows how Takeshi and Emi’s rivalry with Kousei began. It’s light, fun, and gives more depth to the side characters. A great extra for fans who want to see more of the piano world.

What a refreshing breather after all the feels. The prelude before it all began is surprisingly full of details that are totally ignored in the main storyline. What a good episode that covers everyone's story. Oh, and I totally love the childish bickering of the adults.
