Episode Context

As the first of thirteen episodes, 'Mechanical Friends' is pure foundation, it introduces the core cast, the technological landscape, and the thematic tensions between humanity and artificial intelligence that will drive the entire season. Nothing precedes it, but everything that follows builds on the partnership between Echika and Harold established here. Expect this premiere's world-building and character dynamics to pay off as the mystery deepens in subsequent episodes.
