This episode focused on past memories. The scenes added depth to the characters and explained some emotions. It felt slower but important for understanding their background.

An unexpected opening with comedic animation and timing and then straight to the backstory of Yama and Musashi. A bittersweet ending after an explosive fight against a member of the Ten Warriors.

Energetic! Teamwork starts to click, scenes are dynamic, and the soundtrack boosts intensity. Character dynamics feel sharper. A lively episode that maintains momentum while teasing the next adventure.

What a weird episode. First half had random segments of eating and just guys clowning around. At least they did make this episode more serious with the action. Gai is still trying to get stronger and who can blame him. He's been trying to prove himself right from day one.

Good ep, but just my thought. I am pretty sure the original also has all the troopers essentially learn their secret techniques off screen or otherwise just know exactly how to perform them as well, without specifically training to do so.

The show's unique premise feels wasted on arcs that are jammed together, leaving the viewer little room to breath. Initially, I liked the show because of how fresh the theme and art style were, but most of its original charm is wasted away with bad writing.

This episode was really confusing and put me into a loop. The story suddenly goes from action to a new quest and sets brand new character motivations into motion. Underbaked arcs alongside a lack of emotional buildup for me to care about new characters.

I did like the orphanage backstory for Yama and Musashi, but it feels SO undercooked. It could've done good explaining or being a main driver for Musashi's more cowardly/shy attitude, or Yama's protective personality over Musashi

This show is getting from bad to worse. Many moments don't hit the spot as it feels we missed multiple episodes from the series that didn't exist. On top of it, the character assassinated one of the returning characters which felt very poor in taste.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Despite energetic action and Yama and Musashi's backstory, Scouts found this episode confusing, with underbaked arcs and pacing issues, making it a difficult watch.
