Interesting to see how this plays out with the former big bad.

I heard Takeshi Kusao as Ryo again and I almost screamed because he sounds exactly the same after all these years and that golden light scene was so cool when the stone finally broke off him

Episode Context

A bridge episode that earns its place in the season. The opening moves fast, driven by escape and pursuit, before the pacing opens up into armored combat, a tense regrouping, and quieter character moments. Gai and Kaito stay central, but the Ten Braves get real attention here, and Ryu's emotional distance from the group keeps a low hum of melancholy running underneath the action. The introduction of the Four Beast Warriors shifts the opponent dynamic toward something more supernatural and unpredictable. Tonally, this balances urgency with camaraderie and friction, leaning on memory and interpersonal tension to make the stakes feel personal rather than purely tactical. Less a standalone mission, more a deliberate reset of team dynamics and battlefield conditions before things escalate again.
