Wasn't expecting Ramaga to be back (possibly as an ally?)

I cannot believe Gai is actually back after all this time. Seeing his face in the shadows made my heart stop. I really hope he is actually himself and not some puppet again

Episode Context

A confident second-cour premiere that earns its fresh start. Three months have passed, and the mood in Tokyo is somewhere between relief and restlessness: the city is recovering, but Gai's absence hangs over Kaito, Musashi, Yamato, and Shion in ways the team is still working through. The episode moves quickly, mixing easy camaraderie and organizational shake-ups at DST with an escalating sense that peace was never going to hold. When ominous signs push the group toward a Demon World investigation, the tone shifts from tentative normalcy into something more urgent and expansive. Pacing is brisk, the ensemble dynamic is warm but unsettled, and the world-building here signals a broader, more ambitious conflict ahead. A strong re-entry point that rewards those who finished Part 1.
