Uchida and Shujiro's backgrounds get explored in this episode, and while it gives viewers their headspaces as JASDF's Air Rescue Wing members, it would have been better had they been discussed not separately.

Hondou has such a complex and juicy backstory for a supporting character, it's a shame that him and Uchida's story aren't too intertwined for them to establish a more closer bond that allow them to learn more about each other. Instead, we as viewers have to learn about them separately.
