Synopsis
A class reunion pulls Tatsuya Kubo back together with his former junior high tennis club, and an old mystery lands back in his lap. Years ago, someone left flowers and an anonymous love letter in his locker, and he never figured out who. Now, surrounded by familiar faces — Ayu, Midori, Mizuho, and Shizuka — the question starts nagging at him again. Which one of them was it? This is a 4-episode OVA from 1998 by Arms, adapted from an eroge visual novel, and it leans fully into that origin. The setup is pure nostalgia-fueled romance drama: old friendships, unresolved feelings, and the awkward weight of time passing. If you've played something like One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e or watched Doukyuusei Climax, you'll recognize the tone immediately — that bittersweet blend of warmth and intimacy that those late-90s visual novel adaptations did well. The hentai content is upfront and central, so go in knowing that. But the framing around it — the reunion atmosphere, the character dynamics, the slow piecing together of who left those flowers — gives it more narrative texture than you'd expect from something this short. It's not deep drama, but it's not nothing either. If you liked Kakyuusei 2 and want something in the same vein with a tighter mystery hook running through it, this scratches that itch without overstaying its welcome.
