The sister showing up in a full hazmat suit just to give her porridge was the funniest thing in the whole show. It says a lot about how bad that apartment actually smells like old cigarettes and trash

Dumping ash on the bald neighbor right at the start was so mean and gross. She really has zero shame about being a total mess in front of everyone in her apartment building after that ash stunt

Digging through the trash for old butts and then throwing up rainbows made me feel physically sick. My stomach actually turned seeing how desperate she was for a hit in that trash bag scene

the flashback to the neighbor's dad was surprisingly dark for a show about a cat girl, and it made the heart-shaped smoke ring prank feel so much meaner than it already was

that weird lecture about the perfect cigarette pack and the lighter fitting into the gap felt so specific and it made the addiction vibe feel way too authentic

Very huge brain fuck overall. The visuals are extreme, the message is very depressing even. But the effectiveness of it being an Anti-smoking show is great.

Really hope the story leads somewhere and doesnt just revolve around the same area. I have high hopes

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series opener, this episode carries the full weight of world-building and character introduction — there's nothing before it, so it sets the baseline for Yani's personality, habits, and living situation. Everything here is foundational: her vices, her relationships with neighbors and her landlord, and the loose tensions around personal responsibility that will likely drive her arc forward. Subsequent episodes will build on these dynamics, so first impressions of Yani here shape how her eventual growth — or stubborn resistance to it — will land later in the season.
