UP: This episode reveals a nurturing side to Mariabelle that's unexpected and sweet. Her instincts kick in and it's endearing. DOWN: Some scenes cross into weird territory with the baby. The "motherhood fantasy" bits are cringe. 👶

Episode Context

Sitting at the season's midpoint, Episode 5 directly builds on Episode 4's decision by Cecile and Mei to move in next door, escalating the surveillance-slash-rivalry dynamic into full cohabitation comedy. This episode functions as a relationship-expanding installment, establishing the new status quo that will fuel comedic and romantic tensions across the remaining seven episodes. It bridges the early introductions with the deeper ensemble dynamics the back half of the season will likely lean into.
