I absolutely love how Yamada’s frantic internal monologues contrast with Kosuda’s complete, pure-hearted cluelessness. Transitioning into the school festival vibes was a great touch too, shifting the dynamic slightly and highlighting how Yamada's extreme competitiveness and vanity keep hilariously backfiring on her.

WOW, this is a development I really couldn’t have predicted. It’s hard to tell where everyone stands right now, so this episode will probably clear things up. She keeps getting way ahead of herself and ends up fumbling every time. Another plan appears, will this one finally work or not? The progress is there, but only in baby steps. I wonder when they’ll finally have their breakthrough… and I don’t mean that one.

The end of the episode is definitely stronger than the beginning. While the fan service isn't really my thing, the latter half explores the feelings of both main characters in more depth. It's nice to see some character development and progression.
