Episode Context

Episode 1 established Kazuma's dream and his decision to join Pantasia; this episode immediately raises the stakes by placing him in the recruitment exam, where key rivalries and alliances begin to form. As episode 2 of 69, this is foundational setup, the exam arc introduces the competitive framework and supporting cast that will drive the series forward. The relationships forged here, particularly with Kawachi, become central to Kazuma's long journey through the baking world.
