Synopsis
After 500 years frozen in ice, Willem Kmetsch wakes to find that humanity is gone. The surviving races live on floating islands in the sky, constantly under threat from monstrous creatures called Beasts that now roam the surface below. Willem, the last human alive, gets assigned a simple job: caretaker of a military warehouse. Except the 'weapons' stored there aren't swords or cannons; they're young girls. These Leprechauns, including a girl named Chtholly, are raised to wield ancient weapons against the Beasts, and none of them expect to come back from battle. Willem becomes something between a father figure and a broken man watching history repeat itself, knowing exactly what it costs to fight and survive when the people around you don't. This 12-episode TV series from Satelight and C2C moves at a deliberate pace, building out its world and its relationships before quietly devastating you. The romance between Willem and Chtholly is tender and earned, grounded in the reality that their time together has an expiration date. The ending was very nice and sad the plot as well was written very well... The only complaints I would have is that it felt like it'd skipped a few parts throughout the series, a bit rushed, so some things weren't explained fully.. I really hope for another season.
these are one of the few anime that made me cry, the emotional impact of these characters stuck with me for a while. i highly recommend this anime for a 12 eps binge it'l pull your heart strings 💜

Bueno... es el fin del mundo ¿Qué esperaban? Al final le cogí cariño a Elq, para ser una diosa es muy adorable. C y W son tontos, pero al menos los tontos permanecen juntos (sigue sin gustarme la ship), pero el final de N, no me gusto. Me pregunto que harán ahora los lideres.
Por fin todas las cartas se han mostrado y organizado! La historia no es tan trágica como lo pensé, aunque le agrega una capa más de ambigüedad sobre quienes son realmente los malos y buenos. Willme enfrenta sus propios demonios y la pelea final está servida.
Iniciamos bien tranquilos, con la rutina en la excavación, pero lentamente las sombras de la tragedia comienza a expandirse y la revelación que Souwong no quiso darle en su momento a Willem ha salido a la luz! Pobre Willem que alguien le de un calmante.
Un capitulo triste, Nos centramos en Chtholly, ironicamente que entre más recupera los recuerdos de su vida pasada más olvida lo del presente. Me pregunto si es una metáfora sobre como aferrarse al pasado nos hace olvidarnos de la persona que somos en el presente.
Sinceramente no me gusta la ship y he estado tratando de no pensar en ella, pero es inevitable en este capitulo donde ambos son cada vez más conscientes de sus sentimientos y más dispuestos actuar en consecuencia. El drama está acechando.
Si van a decidir por ella su futuro, mínimo que este en la mesa para decidir ¿no? Me alegra que C se recuperará y sin (aun) grandes efectos secundarios, ver a W entrenando a las niñas es agridulce porque aunque salvo a C, el resto aun deben prepararse para combatir.
El arte me recuerda mucho a Madoka o a Monogatari series, realmente le da un caracter escalofriante y se siente el agobio por parte de Chtholly, la firmeza de Willen es conmovedora y lo más importante: nunca confies en un viejito de barba blanca.
Me gusto la pelea, por lo graciosa que la hizo Willem, en él siempre hay mucho más de lo que parece y me pregunto que otros secretos se guarda. También me gusta como pone de prioridad a las niñas, incluso cuando tiene su agenda secreta.
Tiat, mi niña te mereces millones de abrazos, pobrecita. Willem y esos pasos prohibidos de donde salieron? que tanto ocultas humanito? Un capitulo lleno de subidas y bajadas emocionales bruscas a pesar de ser un capitulo de transición.
Willem es Steve Rogers! Tres capítulos y siento a la serie llena de referencias a obras occidentales, nunca me había pasado (tal vez con Nana). El punto es que vemos más del pasado de Willem, aparecen dudas y la resignación ¡Es hora de la batalla!
Hay explicación del world building y tenemos más claro lo que esta en juego. Efectivamente, pinta para romperme el corazón, aunque el arte esta muy bonito y los personajes son muy carismáticos.
