With You, Our Love Will Make It Through
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Late and not watching where she's going, Mari Asaka literally bumps into Tsunagu Hidaka, a beastfolk student transferring into her class. In this world, humans and beastfolk live side by side, but "coexist" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. Prejudice is everywhere, and Mari herself isn't immune to it. She's nervous around Tsunagu at first, carrying all the quiet biases she's absorbed without really thinking about them. But the more time she spends around him, the more she notices his steady, gentle nature, and the more her assumptions start to crack. This 12-episode TV series from Millepensee is less about grand fantasy spectacle and more about two people navigating the awkward, honest space between attraction and understanding. The urban fantasy setting keeps things grounded: think modern-day school life with anthropomorphic characters woven into the social fabric rather than treated as a gimmick. The romance builds slowly, rooted in real conversations and small moments of vulnerability. If you liked the interspecies tension and social commentary in Beastars but want something softer and more intimate, this hits that spot. Fans of A Condition Called Love will also recognize the pacing: it's patient, character-driven, and more interested in emotional honesty than drama for drama's sake. The tone stays warm and youthful throughout, but it doesn't shy away from the discomfort that comes with confronting your own biases. A quiet, thoughtful romance worth sitting with.

That ending was incredible 😭✨ I got so emotional watching Mari and her friends do everything they could for Tsunagu.
Kenichi is the worst 😭 Spreading such cruel rumors about Hidaka and Mari… that’s so messed up.
Why does anime always make food look so good? 😭 Now I want yakisoba!!
The cultural festival at Hidaka’s school can’t come soon enough
I can’t wait to see where Hidaka and Mari’s relationship goes 😭 They’re both doing their best to keep Hidaka’s instincts in check
And here’s our new character, Kisara! 🐱 A cat beastman and Tsunagu’s childhood friend. Can’t wait to see what she brings to the story
I’d be so torn if I were Mari 😭 How am I supposed to choose between Hidaka and Yukihiro?!
Hidaka and Mari secretly dating is so freaking adorable 😭🤍 I’m smiling the whole time.
Welp… here comes the love triangle 😭 Hidaka and Yukihiro are totally going to compete for Mari’s heart
I’m so proud of Hidaka for becoming the top-ranked student
Mad respect to Hidaka for doing his best to resist his instincts for Mari
Episode 1 was so fresh and unique! I love the concept of animal people living alongside humans, and I’m already rooting for Mari and the beastman to end up together.
They don’t take center stage, but Yukihiro and Kisara carry this quiet emotional weight. It’s that feeling of knowing your place and still choosing kindness anyway <3 the tail scene? ADORBS
Mari really shines here, not in a loud way, but in the way she chooses to stand her ground. It’s subtle, but you can tell this moment changes something <3
This felt like everything finally confronting reality. Tsunagu thinking of leaving because of prejudice hurt, but seeing him pushed to stand his ground was powerful. This trio is to die for!!!
Mari explaining the truth and that she wanted that moment was so brave. And Yukihiro still supporting her despite his feelings? That quietly broke me T_T crying rn
The way the school handled everything made me so mad. Rumors spread, Tsunagu gets blamed, and no one listens at first. You really feel how unfair the world is to him AHHHHH
That rooftop scene was supposed to be beautiful… then everything shattered. One photo turned into something ugly. This episode hurt in the worst way. </3
It started light and fun, but that scene with Kisara getting harassed changed everything. Mari stepping in to protect her hit hard. It reminded me how strong she is when it matters most <3
Idk why this was rated bad, I genuinely liked this episode and the wholesomeness of the entire class just to make sure Tsunagu feels like he belongs is adorbs. And Kisara/Akihiro duo???? Unexpecteddd
