Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!

Synopsis
At 24, office worker Yumeko Kōda has spent her whole life at a confectionery company hating how she looks. Then she nearly dies in an accident, wakes up with total amnesia, and, here's the thing, she's still the same person physically, but without all the years of self-loathing weighing her down. No memories means no baggage, and suddenly she thinks she's adorable. Her coworkers are completely thrown off. This 12-episode TV series follows Yumeko as she navigates her job, her relationships, and a budding connection with Keisuke Yūki, a guy dealing with his own anxiety issues that she bumps into on her commute. The premise could easily go shallow, but the show actually sits with the idea that how you carry yourself changes how people see you, and more importantly, how you see yourself. It's comedic and warm without being saccharine, and the adult workplace setting keeps things grounded in a way that feels lived-in rather than idealized. If you liked the office romance energy of Wotakoi or the "finding yourself as a working adult" vibe of Recovery of an MMO Junkie, this hits a similar sweet spot. It also shares some DNA with Aggretsuko in how it treats the daily grind and personal frustration, though the tone here leans more toward genuine romance than cathartic rage. Based on a shoujo web manga, animated by Marvy Jack. A nice, low-stakes watch about learning to like yourself.

I did not expect this kind of dialogue from this anime. The confidence and the comedic scenes are gold! And Yumeko's past is very intriguing, you'll actually want to keep watching
I didn't realize this was going to have a season 2! It was a sweet ending but the open-endedness was unexpected for me. I guess I'll have to wait for more.
We're finally nearing the end! It will be exciting to finally learn what happened to Yumeko that day, and what her connection is to Rikako and Keisuke. It's nice seeing all the relationships between the characters really feeling like true friendships and bonds.
This episode was a good watch, but it did feel a bit out of place since the show is almost over and we're suddenly getting Minami's backstory. Either way, it helps show why he's the way he is which is always nice.
I love seeing the friendships forming between the coworkers! I'm also happy to finally know a bit more about Keisuke and Rikako, assuming Keisuke isn't lying. The mystery is slowing unraveling and I can't wait to see more!
While this episode is also a little slow, it's very sweet to see how much Yumeko's impacted the Planning Division, making them work so well as a team. It's also nice to see that she and her mother have at least a few good memories, even if they're few and far between.
This episode is a little slower, but it finally explains the connection between Keisuke and Rikako a bit more which is great! It was also nice to see Degawa and Yumeko develop a good working relationship after a rough start.
The finale wraps up Yumeko’s journey nicely. Her confidence feels genuine now, and the relationships she built along the way make the ending satisfying. It’s a quiet conclusion, but it fits the tone of the series perfectly.
