EPISODE CONTEXT
Episode 2 builds directly on the introductory first episode where Fuji encountered her unusual 'dog,' shifting focus from that initial meeting to the pair's integration into the surrounding community. By introducing Kii, Kinako, and giving Tatsuo more presence, the series expands its cast early and establishes the relational foundation the remaining ten episodes will develop. This is clearly still setup territory, but it's the kind that prioritizes emotional groundwork over plot momentum.
