Wicked Lessons
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When both her parents are killed in an accident, Noelle is left with only one family member remaining — Shuichi, the older stepbrother she hasn't seen in six years. She remembers him as kind. He is not kind anymore. On the night of the funeral, before she's even had time to grieve, he assaults her. Then, without explanation, he forces her to transfer to Takamine College, the prestigious school where he works as a professor. Whatever he's planning, Noelle is part of it. This is a dark, uncomfortable watch built around psychological manipulation and a deeply unsettling power dynamic. The college setting creates this sharp contrast — prestigious hallways, academic prestige on the surface, and something much uglier running underneath. The two-episode OVA format keeps things tight, but the story moves with enough character weight that it doesn't feel hollow. Noelle is genuinely sympathetic, and Shuichi is the kind of antagonist you want to understand even as you're disturbed by him. If you've watched Discipline: The Record of a Crusade or Bible Black and appreciated stories that lean into darker psychological territory rather than just surface shock value, this scratches a similar itch. It's adapted from a visual novel, which shows — there's actual narrative structure here. Go in knowing what you're getting into. This is not lighthearted material, and it doesn't pretend to be.
