Coming off Episode 2's setup of Satou and Yamazaki's game-making partnership, this episode explores the first major obstacle: Satou himself, as his tendency toward distraction and self-delusion undermines any forward momentum. It deepens the Satou-Yamazaki dynamic while establishing the series' willingness to critique the very culture its audience inhabits. This directly sets up Episode 4's Akihabara excursion and the reintroduction of Hitomi Kashiwa, expanding the cast and complicating Satou's already fragile trajectory.
