Jazz and Allocer get one of the season’s coolest side stories. This episode proves Season 3 is not just Iruma’s show; the whole class gets room to shine.

Even though some parts lean on narration, I find it quite entertaining as it adds a helpful layer of summarization that features the individual growth of each character. Mainly, Jazz and Allocer’s stressful suffering during their training was really emphasized in this episode.

Episode Context

Following Episode 4's explosive kickoff to the Harvest Festival, this fifth episode broadens the scope by showcasing the Misfit Class's diverse strategies rather than relying on a single protagonist's perspective. It deepens the festival's stakes by revealing just how varied and cunning the competition truly is. With 16 episodes still ahead, this early spotlight on Jazz and Allocer lays critical groundwork for the rivalries and alliances that will define the arc's escalation.
