Episode Context

As the first of two episodes, this is the series' entire foundation, character introductions, tone-setting, and conflict establishment all happen here. There is no prior episode to reference; everything begins with Keiko's unexpected ascent and the friction it creates with Michiko and station norms. Episode 2 will resolve what this premiere sets in motion, making this episode essential viewing with no skippable groundwork.
