📖 SYNOPSIS

"Roll Call" depicts the escalating anxiety of Wataya during the morning roll call at school. As the names are called, and her turn approaches, the pressure mounts. The simple act of waiting becomes a source of immense stress for Wataya. This internal struggle manifests physically, as the tension builds to the point where she loses control of her own body. The animation is a 2017 project from the Tokyo University of the Arts, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Department of Animation. The short explores the themes of anxiety, pressure, and the physical manifestations of internal turmoil within the confines of a school environment.
