Watashi wo Tabetai, Hitodenashi

Hinako, a high school girl living alone by the sea, finds herself the target of monsters drawn to her unusually delicious body. From the ocean emerges Shiori, a mermaid who takes Hinako's hand and vows to protect her. Shiori's intentions, however, are far from benevolent; she plans to devour Hinako someday. To ensure Hinako matures to her peak condition, Shiori acts as her protector, navigating the dangers of the town and the lurking monsters. The anime explores the complex relationship between the two girls, as Hinako's feelings develop amidst the looming threat of her eventual consumption.
