This episode follows the opening installment, which presumably reestablishes Miyo and Kiyoka's relationship and sets the special's central conflict in motion. Sitting at the midpoint of only three episodes, Episode 2 has limited runway and will need to advance the story meaningfully rather than tread water. Episode 3 serves as the conclusion, so this chapter is positioned to deliver the emotional turn that makes the finale land.
