Tomoko goes into the new term thinking she can start fresh, but the new seating arrangement completely ruins that and traps her in awkward silence around actual social people. Watching her struggle just to exist during class and lunch honestly felt painful but also kinda too real.

"A new school term and new begingins". As if. Although she is now in a better spot, i feel like if the author actually wanted to make her get along with the classmates we would have seen her putting more effort now, since her new seatmates seem nice
