Wake Up, Girls!

What a climax. I must say I was expecting the results of the 2014 Idol Festival, but didn't expect what would happen at the end and what that could mean for the future of the series. This was an amazing anime, and its strongest point is the characters, not the music, even though it is also amazing. I'm so hyped to watch the next 2 movies.

More of a preparation episode for the climax and the final showdown. Even so, we get to see a little more of the hardcore fans and supporting characters, which is always appreciated. The animation feels a little weird at times, but nothing unwatchable. Hoping the last episode will be nothing but perfect.

This episode shows the actual level of Wake Up, Girls! and the next step they need to take. Not only that, but we can also appreciate the growth of a character and how she faces her fears. The music, choreography and animation are arguably the best so far, and showing how other idol groups act on and off stage was a great idea.

Simply the best episode, and I don't think any future episode will be better. Tragic backstories are a double-edged sword, they can feel 'stupid' to the audience or they can truly connect with them. In this case, they work perfectly, and how both are resolved by the end of the episode is beautiful.

A very intense episode with a high amount of plot development, showing an argument in the group and how one of the girls isn't sure what to do next. We also see different things about I-1, their members and founder. I'm hoping the next episode follows these lines and reaches a conclusion about what happened to Mayu.

This episode is loaded with emotions and the growth of the group as a whole. The pace is perfectly divided into two scenes that happen simultaneously, both representing the group fighting and changing for the better. My favorite episode so far, even though the animation isn't the best and it doesn't focus on the music at all.

If this was a Shonen anime, this episode would be the beginning of the "training arc". We see how the girls try to improve in all the areas necessary to be idols, but at the same time they doubt what's happening and if they should continue, especially with Airi. The use of rain in this episode is on point.

A perfect comparison between a new idol group and the best one. The difference in performance, mistakes, coordination and even audience makes it clear how far Wake Up, Girls! still needs to go. The soundtrack and animation were above average compared to the first episodes, especially during the I-1 part.

The plot is the strongest point of this episode, focusing on the most interesting girl so far in the protagonist group: her fears, controversies and friends. The animation and the soundtrack are alright, but for an idol anime there aren't that many songs so far, aside from the first one from the movie.

I really enjoyed having an actual opening and ending theme. That aside, I think that the structure of presenting each of the girls of the main cast, their strengths and weaknesses and how they overcome them is a nice and fluid way to start the series. Now I'm just wondering what will happen after presenting all of them.

The first half of the episode was so uncomfortable that I had to pause it several times until I finished it. But that doesn't make it a bad episode, since we see the development and resolution of a character's arc and a surprising turn of events in the middle and at the end of the episode. The animation and music remain consistent.

This first episode is as introductory as it can get, but it clearly shows that you should have watched the previous movie to understand what happened. The dynamics and personalities of the main cast get clearer, but aren't very deep. The animation is just okay, and the main theme, the only one so far, is great.

Llegamos al final de esta historia. No esperaba disfrutar tanto un anime de Idols, pero logró sorprenderme. Me gustó el desarrollo de las protagonistas y cómo cada una consigue brillar a su manera. Además, las canciones me gustaron mucho. Si buscas algo diferente te lo recomiendo

Un capítulo que marca el clímax de la historia. La tensión se mantiene en todo momento y deja muchas dudas sobre el futuro de Wake Up, Girls! frente a I-1. Me gustó cómo logra mantener la expectativa hasta el final. Ya quiero ver el desenlace.

Un capítulo donde por fin vemos el resultado del esfuerzo del grupo Idol. La animación y la música destacaron mucho, haciendo que cada presentación se sintiera muy emocionante. Me gustó ver que lograran dar un paso más hacia su sueño.

Un capítulo donde los problemas que venía arrastrando el grupo comienzan a resolverse, fortaleciendo la relación entre las integrantes. Me gustó cómo profundiza en Mayu y ayuda a comprender mejor su personaje. Un episodio muy emotivo que deja una gran sensación de unión y amistad

Un episodio que mantiene la tensión en todo momento. Me gustó cómo la rivalidad entre Wake Up, Girls! e I-1 pone a prueba a las integrantes, tanto física como mentalmente. La historia sigue creciendo y deja muchas ganas de ver cómo afrontarán lo que viene.

Un episodio tranquilo, donde las integrantes luchan por seguir juntas y, por primera vez, expresan todo lo que llevaban guardado. Me gustó cómo desarrolla sus emociones y fortalece su unión. Un final muy emotivo que deja una agradable sensación de cierre.

Un capítulo que mantiene la tensión dentro del grupo Idol. Me gustó cómo la llegada del nuevo productor obliga a las chicas a dar lo mejor de sí. Aunque sus métodos generan dudas, el final deja una mezcla de tristeza, tensión y muchas expectativas por el futuro del grupo.

Un episodio que deja en evidencia las dificultades de abrirse camino en el mundo idol. Me gustó cómo muestra el contraste entre la experiencia de otros grupos y el esfuerzo de las protagonistas por crecer. El final deja muchas expectativas por la llegada de un nuevo personaje.
